I rebooted, and now I have the link to Google Earth -- and it seems to work OK,
though it 'includes' in its initial Earth view ALL currently loaded waypoints,
routes, etc (so I suspect it's real fun if you still have the default Asian and
European Garmin waypoints...).

As to why I didn't get the Goggle link the first time, perhaps I had an earlier
version dll cached?
