I have a Garmin Streetpilot III that works great except for one thing.

I borrowed it to my brother last weekend, I put new batteries in it, and it
came back with the unit not working on batteries, only the power cable.

I had the exact same problem a year ago, Garmin repaired it under warranty
at that time.

Is there a fuse inside the unit for the batteries that is a fairly simple
fix?

Thanks in advance

Ed

Same thing hear - takes 5 minutes to fix with a small screwdriveer.

Thanks so much.

I replaced the screw behind the battery terminal on the circuit board. It
appears when I sent the unit in for warranty repair last year, (2-2004) the
tech did not secure the screw and it fell out.

Thank you all again
