The GPS foretrex 101 has the following data filed option :

over'l speed

What is the difference between these data ?

I think the moving average is the average speed while you are moving and the
overall average also considers the time during which you are stopped. For
example if you walk a mile at 3 mph and stop for 20 minutes, your moving
average will be 3 mph and your overall average will be 1.5 mph.
