If it had the SiRF chips it would be more expensive, I have several
Garmin GPSes that do not have the SiRF chips and they perform very good
(on and off-road ;) ) Those i-series are very attractive, I might get
one as a backup too.

I think the SiRF III chips do have WAAS support, it is my believe that
that is why Garmin decided to start using them.
The current Garmin Streetpilot's (all of them) do not use SiRF chips.
