wrong date in GPS 12 garmin

| since a while the date used in my gps 12 seems to be altered by some
kind of reset action. The date shown now is 18 Jan 87.
The software is ver. 4.57
How can I set the correct date?

Maybe in Garmin quality control terms, that IS the correct date :-p

I had the same problem, you have to download a small program there force the
unit to get the new ref from the GPS sattelites.
I have the program and can send it to you.
there is a new version 4.60 but it dont help your problem.
