Google, Microsoft, Mapquest, Navteq, Tele Atlas, Yahoo, Switchboard,
Yellowpages and others - we need your help.
Ponderosa Sports is off by from 3 to 10 miles depending on providor.
The actual location is N43.9667, W-116.1878
G, M, M, N, Y, S, Y - do any of you care?
Ponderosa Sports
6854 Highway 55
Horseshoe Bend, Idaho 83629
We have spent a significant amount advertising our location. False
mapping data is sending our customers to different locations. If your
geocoder doesn't know our correct location, just say so on your mapping
program. Don't proliferate false data.
Will it take a class action suit, publicity or a court injunction?
Business owners facing the same frustration may want to ask for help at
classaction.com.

This, again, is alt.satellite.gps.garmin.
You want alt.whine.whine.whiner......down the hall------------------->that
way.

They all use the same source. Complain to the source, not to us.

| I have shelf service from G, M, M, N, Y, S, Y. Each has its own spin
on what it won't do.
Read this carefully - This was sent to Ponderosa Sports
COMPLAINT # DF47061EB
NAVTEQ - It is the mappers fault - "NAVTEQ makes navigation data
available
up to four times each year to a wide range of manufacturers including
yours. It is important to note, however, that there is a lapse of 3-6
months between the time NAVTEQ data is made available to manufacturers
and the time that this data is introduced in the marketplace. Indeed,
if your suggestion requires an actual change be made to the database,
please be aware that the product containing that change will not be
available until a future release. Updated products are for sale
according to the product plans of your system manufacturer or
developer. We make every effort to ensure that our map data is fresh,
accurate, and up-to-date by employing full-time staff in more than 50
offices throughout Europe and 50 offices in North America. However, we
also appreciate conscientious drivers such as yourself who take the
time to tell us that we might need to make a change."

| Are you stubborn, thick, or both?
Perhaps you are just pathologically unable to accept answers not to your
liking.
Then again, perhaps you're just annoying.
Inquiring minds and all that you know....

| plugged your address into MS S & T and it gave the correct position. Took
the Lat Long from S & T and plugged into the MapSource and again, the right
location. One is 6.5 km the other 6.8 north of Horseshoe Bend, depends on
where one starts in Horseshoe Bend.
My 2 cents.

| personally I don't think I'll ever buy from PonderosaSports if I'm ever
in that part of the country. seems like they're a bunch of whiners
looking for free advertising, and just the kind of people that would
screw you over if there's a problem with something you buy, claiming it
was your fault it broke, & who wants to do business with people that
have such a negative attitude.
