| I am interested in finding out more about the Garmin StreetPilot 2730. I
suspect that is is very similar to the Garmin StreetPilot 2720 with the
addition of the XM satellite receiver. Anyway, for those of you familiar
with the Garmin StreetPilot 2720 or 2730 I am interested in a couple of
specific aspects of it. How well does it deal with multiple destination
routing? For example, can I enter several addresses that I want to go to
and have it determine the shortest route to get to all of the address in
order? Also, if I am driving in a residential area, will it estimate the
approximate house numbers as you move down a block? I seem to recall that
my neighbors Garmin would do this, but the Garmin C330 that I have used does
not do that. I see that Walmart's on-line store lists the 2730, but shows
it as OUT OF STOCK
http://www.walmart.com/catalog/prod...duct_id=4382824 I want to buy
from there because I can get 10% of my purchase there and with my credit
card get an additional $50 back. I have seen these for as little as $900 at
other on-line dealers, so if Wal-Mart gets there price down to a competitive
price and then I get 10% off and the $50 rebate from my credit card it seems
like it might be a good deal.

Before buying, look here at discussions of the 2730...

Allegedly, it comes with a big ol' hockey puck for an XM antenna, and others
have reported problems with audio. If it is the same as the 2720 (but with
XM), good luck, nuttin' but problems with mine. How many firmware releases
to correct problems? I've lost count.

The onyl audio problems I've had have been with the FM transmitter,
which I stopped using. But then again, I've yet to be impressed by
FM transmitters in general.

Haven't seen any major glitches with the 2730 yet. Certainly nothing
along the lines of what 2720 users experienced.
