| Yesterday, while using my GPS in my car, I observed a new satellite which I
don't believe I have seen before, its ID is 36. And it seemed to have a WAAS
signal. Does anyone know any details about this satellite?
Tnx

| It is the new WAAS satellite, Galaxy 15 undergoing test using PRN 123.
(PRN120 =33, 121 =34, 122=35, etc)
The other new satellite, Anik-F1R will start broadcasting in the next
couple weeks using PRN 125 (38)
In the near future Galaxy will transition to its real, final PRN, PRN
135 and Anik will finish up on PRN 138.
Both GEOs will be using Test Mode with corrections available to
non-avaiation users.
Anik is located at 107 deg W, Galaxy 15 at 133 deg W, both are slightly
more powerful than the existing WAAS satellites.
Both are also transmitting on the L5 frequency, but there are only
about 10 or 12 receivers on earth that can receive L5 GEO data.
