map upgrades for C330?
|
|

| I recently bought the C330 and love it but have found some places where
it won't recognize some intersections etc. Am I entitled to any map
updates or must I purchase them? I have city navigator V.8 now. Any help
will be appreciated.

The process is that when Garmin puts City Navigator 9 up for sale, you
will be allowed to buy a copy. No one gets updated mapping data for
free for Garmin.
And mapping data is never perfect. If you want to help fix it, submit a
report to

No maps are perfect. In Norway, it can take years for updates to get into
the maps.

Usually no. You have to buy your maps. If you bought your unit with V7 maps
at this point you are given a free upgrade to V8.
At one time I got a free upgrade from V6 to V8 because the owner never installed
and registered his software before the owner wanted to upgrade the maps.
