Author viewing area maps on c330?

Is it possible to look at the map of a particular area on the C330
without setting a route start and finish? I would like to be able to
view details of an area to see if I can set an intersection etc. I have
encountered some spots that are not recognized by the program even
though they appear on regular maps and programs such as street atlas
2004. Any help will be appreciated.

Try using the 'goto' function to the town you wish to look at, say 'no' to
simulating the route, then choose 'show map'

That should work

I was told that you can't save a "route" on the 330. Can I set up a
route on MapSource Waypoint Manager and access it on my c330? Any help
would be appreciated. (I've loaded the v.8 maps to my GPS)
Thank you.

No, you can't. These units don't accept routes from external sources.
