Author Does the 76Cx Have Geocaching Mode?

I've got a 60C and really like the "Geocaching Mode" built into it,
where it records the cache code in the Calendar once you've marked it
as found. Does anyone know if the 76Cx has that feature?

I checked the Garmin web site and their "Geocaching Product Guide" is
out of date, and makes no mention of the Geocaching Mode anyway, that I
can see, aside from a passing mention in the 60CS description: "a
dedicated geocaching mode".

My wife has a 76S and likes the screen resolution, even if it is
monochrome, but it's slow so we'd like to upgrade but we're not sure
which to go to.

Yes, it does.

The 76Cx and CSx have identical firmware and internal hardware to the
corresponding 60Cx/CSx models, so you can decide based on price and
preference for the physical case and button placement differences.
Note that this also means that the 76C/CS/x models have a slightly
smaller screen than your current 76S.

I believe the current Garmin $50 rebate is only for the '60' models
which might sway the decision.

Thanks for that. I think my wife prefers the layout of the 76, so if
it's the same as the 60, except for the layout, then it should be okay.
We are aware of the difference in the screen resolution, and the
rebate, well, it'd be nice but it's not a show stopper if there isn't
one on the 76Cx.

Seems to be only in the US; can't find it on Costco.ca. Too bad but
thanks anyway.
