Author sd card for c320

i just bought a c320 and cannot load all the maps i want with the sd card
supplied
can a "standard " sd card be used or must you purcahse the ones from garmin
?
the price they charge is a lot higher than others i have seen advertised
thanks for any input

Buy a Sandisk card on line (Newegg, Amazon, etc.).
Nothing special about Garmin card (except the
high price!).

Yes. Entire North America fits in 1G SD.

City Navigator comes up to 1,633.8 mb if you select everything from in
MapSource. That includes Hawaii too but that is not very much data.

I think the NT version that is preloaded on some units and sold on the
preloaded SD cards comes down to about 1.3 GB or so. I've not heard of
a version that fits on a 1 GB card yet.

Actually, CN NT v8, that comes with c320 requres 946.6MB including Hawaii

Okay, thanks for the info. That is good to know.

I read somewhere that the only difference between CN V8 and CN NT V8 is
an advanced data compression technology, that the data is the same.

I have a 1GB card ($75 a month ago) with the entire USA and CA on it.

they must have really dropped in price, you can get them at Walmart for
under $30 now
