Recently upgraded to CN8 but it did not find a recent (1+ yrs) housing
development. How do I determine that the CN8 maps installed correctly?
TIA

If it's functioning, it's probably installed correctly. You could compare
the data on your GPSr with what is on the Garmin Map Viewer here:

It is not at all unusual for two year old developments to not be
reflected on the maps. I think 3-4 years is a more typical pace.

You can help the process by reporting it to Garmin or NAVTEQ. Record a
track of the new road(s) and send it to them too, that will help.

When I upgraded to CN 6 from CN 5 (in Australia), there were some CN 5 maps
still sitting on the iQue, and some CN 6 maps (same region) not there. You can
tell which versions of each map is on the iQue (or card) pretty easily. [Can't
remember exactly how, but it was easy]. You can delete the duds and resynch.

Janitor Boy Jr.! Nice to see you again. No where to go on Thanksgiving so

Open the map application, then Menu, Maps, Detailed maps, Menu.
It will show you the version number of your current map(s).

Thanks Anders. Recognize you from Brighthand. Looks like I have to start
over as it's showing CS 5.
