POI Loader and specific models ?

| I have a Quest, and I have found out that POI Loader does not support
the 1st gen Quest, only the Quest 2.
It supports a very list of models it seems.
Does anyone know why ? is there some functionality missing ? memory
required ?
It is somewhat disappointing to see a relatively new model ignored...
Call me curious.

The device firmware doesn't support the functionality. In theory,
it could be added, but with tons of new models out its not likely
that Garmin will retrofit the older ones.

Are you using a recent download? They probably update that from time to
time.
I wonder of they they did a cost/profits analysis on software provided
as free downloads. Maybe they decided that everyone was already getting
their money's worth so development was suspended. :> )

| I have sent an email to Support at Garmin, asking them to enable the
Quest to work with POI Loader.
It's probably not rocket science, I have just upgrade the firmware to
3.70 a few weeks ago.
