Thanks Tom, that is a great help.
I'll make sure to clear the tracklog after saving it, and that way my house
won't appear.
I have a few more questions if you have time:
1. I put some waypoints into my GPS and then when I upload them into
g7toWin, I see one is always labelled 'map'. I don't remember ever making
any changes along the way. I put the same file (.gpx) into Google Earth and
sure enough one of the waypoints say "map". Have you seen this?
2. When you are in your Geko on the pan tracklog page, and I want to save
it, it asks for the beginning and end. I just assume it knows when I turned
it on and when I'm finished, so I pretty well go along with what it says. Is
there a way to see what is actually the beginning and end, is it by the time
that shows on the bottom?
3. How often do you save your tracks when you are out? For instance, I was
80% around a large loop and I wanted to use the tracback feature. So when I
asked it to go to the beginning, it started to take me all the way back
along the loop. Is there a better way to do this? I was thinking of saving a
track half way at lunch etc?
4. TracBack is important to us here on the west coast in the mountains.
However, the tree cover is a problem. Do you always use compass and maps as
well?

Thanks again Tom

Ted
