| I have used a GPS12 for 7 years . Last year I bought an etrex Summit (mainly
because the GPS12 doesn't record the altitude in the track).
I had the impression that the summit is less sensitive than the GPS12. Last
weekend I did the test and it is definitely so: Summit is a lot less
sensitive. So I want to buy another type.
Does anyone can give me an advise for a sensitive GPS (with barometric
altimeter)? What about GPSMAP 60CS?
Many thanks,

| Another vote for the 60 CSx. The x units have memory cards, so mine
has 512MB of memory now, room for all the maps I could want. And just
now I noticed that even when I'm in the parking garage (1st floor of a
5 floor apartment building, half underground) the thing keeps a lock.
I actually drove around to different parts of the parking garage to see
if I was just in a good spot, the error size would go up but it never
lost a lock. (I finally held an aluminum clip board I have over it,
and after a while it finally lost the signal). This is my 3rd GPS and
none of the previous 3 (an early and late 12XL and a 76S) come close to
the reception this thing gets.
