Garmin c310 and WebUpdater problem - Newbie -

| Help!!.
I have downloaded WebUpdater from Garmin site and it doesn`t install
properly in Win98SE!!!.
When running the program, it gives error - ` [A device connected to the
system is not functioning ]`.
A second error notice says -
`[ The WEBUPDATER.EXE file is linked to missing export
SHELL. DLL:SHGetFolderPathA
]`. :-s
Well, shell.dll wasn`t missing as windows needs it to run!!, so maybe the
..dll is old or faulty...
so i used a windows update to replace the old .dll.....same errors.....can
anyone help please???.
It runs ok on my second machine with XP Pro, but i don`t like XP much hence
98SE on the
main `pooter.
Lee......(POI runs perfectly, if only i had some files downloaded!!!.)
