| I'd appreciate it if someone with Mapsource Metroguide Europe could let
me know how much memory would be required for the Amsterdam and Paris
map segments (data + indexes). Thanks.

What do you mean by data + indexes? If you mean autorouting data,
Mapsource does not support downloading autorouting with MG.
Without autorouting, for 4 maps that cover a rectangle about 11 miles
east to west and 17 miles north to south: Paris 3.99 mb and Amsterdam
1.69 mb with MG6.

I mean that when you mouse over a map segment, a memory value is
displayed in the status bar (e.g. West Palm Beach Florida ... 1.95 MB),
but when you actually select the segment, the Maps tab shows e.g.:
West Palm Beach Florida ... 1.95 MB
1 Map(s) - 2.47 MB
It's the second value that's relevant when determining whether the
selected map segments will fit into the memory of your GPS. Why Garmin
even bothers showing the first value, I'll never know.
Anyway, thanks for the information. They were the "second value",
weren't they?
And does anyone have the matching values for MG E v7?
