I have an old GPSIII+ that still works great. I want to get a USB to RS232
converter cable to use with my laptop. I see on the specs that it's good
with Windows 2000. I have XP home edition. Will this cable also work with
XP? Thanks.

Yes, the GPS III+ is still a great unit. I have one i really like.

USB serial ports are rather finicky beasts. Some work better than others -
it depends entirely on the drivers. I'd expect any of them would claim to
work on XP, but whether it works with your GPS software will depend on the
particular unit and the version of the driver it comes with.

All I can suggest is that you buy one from a store that will take it back if
it doesn't work. Start with a reliable name brand for the best chance of
success.
