Mad at State Farm, GPS Personal Articles Issue
|
|
|
| I have had State Farm since 1984 when I started driving, one accident (was
NOT my fault - I was rearended) when i was in my 20's (now 38) no claims
except one personal articles claim for a policy I have faithfully carried
and paid on for over 13 yrs with them for over 10 grand in items, and that
one claim was for $600 when I add up what I spent in 13 yrs for coverage
they are still WELL in the profit zone on that but I don't even mind that I
like the piece of mind to have the policy ...
I got a GPS recently, Garmin C340 sent them a copy of the paperwork model
info etc (just like I do with anything I want to add to the policy like
watches video cameras etc). They called today said they have a new policy
(company wide I was told) no GPS units on a zero deductable personal
articles policy.
Anyone here have a GPS and have it insured thru personal articles policy
with State Farm?? I just want this covered without the cars deductable
(mainly for theft) cuz deductable is $500 GPS was $530 so I eat the loss if
someone steals it I guess (after deductable) altho it would also cover
whatever else damage they did, but still I have all sorts of stuff on my
personal articles zero deductable policy just never heard of such a thing
that they won't cover it.
Sorry for the rant, but I am ready to start calling around, I am sure
someone else out there will take my policy for personal articles, ill move
all the stuff to them maybe even the cars...
