Is it possible to use a 60cs in a car ?
I means use real roads...

Yes, it can be done. It will navigate with appropriate Garmin maps
loaded (CitySelect, for example).
You can also buy an auto-mount system for car use.

I don't think the 60cs has a "Highway" screen.
But a highway screen would normally be a display of something like two
parallel lines that converge in the distance (like looking down a
straight section of railroad track).
Your destination is at the point of convergence and that stays centered
as long as you are steering towards it, steering corrections will keep
it centered. If your position is shown as to the right and left of the
center line that is your crosstrack error from winds or currents.
Most of those screens will also have some data boxes with info like
distance remaining, crosstrack error, speed, etc.
Steering from the highway screen is often easier than steering a
numerical heading because it damps out the constant heading changes
caused by the waves.

Oops! And thanks, you're right of course. I was looking at one of
those a while back and as I did not remember seeing a page like the one
I described above. But I just went and looked at the online manual and
there it is. I now know that I did not see it because it does not show
up until you have a route active.

The highway screen only displays when a Route is active.
