Author Nuvi Search Results Order??

Here is the scene:

Nuvi 350
SW 3.1

I live in Milford, MA.
I want to see all the restaurants in a nearby town named "Franklin".

So, for instance, I push "Where To" and then "Near .." and select "A
Different City", and then enter the town name of Franklin, which is
about 8-10 miles away, and I get about 100 results with the word
"Franklin" in them. (Obviously a common name!)

Unfortunately, these results do not appear to be in any kind of order.
(Not by distance away or alphabet, or any order that I can see ???)

If I try to narrow the search by putting in the comma and the MA (or
not), I get " No Results" even though "Franklin, MA" is actually in
the list about half way down through the 100.

Am I overlooking something in this procedure? The Nuvi normally
orders many of the search results by distance away from the current
location, why not in this case??
At least by alphabet on the State abreviations would be OK as well.

Any comments anyone??

Hi Bob, I can't tell you why it orders it the way it does but another
way you can do it although I don't think it's any faster than just finding
the city in the list is to first find the city Franklin by doing a search
and then go to and then do your find for the restaurants and then select
near destination. For me it would be faster to just select the city from the
list like you did. I would be nice if they were ordered by distance away
like you suggested though. I'm cc'ing this to Garmin to see if they might
look into changing that in a future firmware update.

Thanks.
