Indeed; if I tilt my 60Csx only a little, the compass is way off!
However, I've come to love the compass nevertheless: it automatically
rotates the map "track up", so it's a big plus for me that I can pick up
the unit and instantly see where everything is. In fact I found this
superbly helpful when walking in an unknown city at night.
