Author Disappearing Metroguide maps following downloads to eTrex Legend

When I download maps from Metroguide v7 North America to my eTrex Legend the
maps are present in my unit for a day or two, then I find they have
mysteriously disappeared and I am left with only the basemaps that were
there all along. What gives? Supposedly Metroguide maps do not require
unlocking.

There is a menu option in the Legend to make the maps appear or not.
Hard to imagine you would be making that happen by accident, but there
could be a malfunction.

Go to the map page, hit the meny stick on the left menu spot and there
should be an 'i' for Info window. All maps should then be listed as you
scroll down. If they are not checked, they will not show. If they are
not listed, they are not in memory (which they should be).

I think the memory is non-volatile flash. But if it is maintained by an
internal stay-alive battery, maybe that battery has failed.

Mainly: Call Garmin tomorrow!

There is no "i' window.

Not a window but one of the options in the Map menu window.

It's there: I have a Legend.

Yeah, you're right, Phil. I found it later.
