Hi all, does anyone know of a PIO loader that will recognise my Vista C
please? Garmins own one doesnt recognise mine :(

The problem is that the Vista C does not recognise POIs...

It certainly recognizes maps that generally contain POIs, and there are
ways to generate your own maps (e.g. see:
http://home.cinci.rr.com/creek/garmin.htm) that can be added
transparently on top of any Garmin maps you load. So it should be
possible to load in any set of POIs that you'd like. Unfortunately the
process involves several separate software programs and isn't as
'user-friendly' as might be wished.

I haven't heard of any POI-specific software that would be easier to
use but it seems like something that would be feasible.

I should add that one feature that this presumably would *not* have is
the proximity warning message since that's not provided for the POIs
included with the Garmin or other compatible maps.
