Mapsource 6.10.2 freezing problem

| I recently bought the City Navigator Europe V8 upgrade and successfully
loaded it. I then thought I should upgrade to the latest MapSource
(version 6.10.2) as it apparently has some improved post code search.
It successfully installed but whenever I run it, it freezes before
arriving at the main screen. I see the MapSource splash screen and the
WhereiS Navigation splash screen but it never gets past this. Task
Manager does not say "Not responding" but MapSource uses 100% CPU until
I chose 'End Task'.
I tried reinstalling but this did not help.
I could try uninstalling and reinstalling but I am not sure whether
this would remove links to existing Map products which I have
installed.
Please can anyone help!

I am having problems with the same version of Mapsource, it seems to stop my
PC seeing the track data on my iQue 3600, I can get the data off the iQue
with my laptop, this has V6.5 so it is not my iQue. Often the USB port plays
up. Garmin have been no help so far, the fix they sent was meant for
something else. I am still running V7 of the mapping

The previous MapSource map info is held in the registry and will not be
deleted in an uninstall.
