Author Diff between Garmin GPSMap 76CSx and GPSMAP 60CSx

I've run the comparison chart between these 2 products and see only a memory
size and "water resist" difference (yes look & feel/form factor too).

Other than that, what is the difference between these. I.e. Why would I
buy one over the other? Who is Garmin marketing to with these (i.e. between
the 2).

And no, I don't want a religious war here; I want to hear from those who
have solid analytical skills :-)

Thanks

Water resistance is the same .. but the 76CSx will float (the 60 will
"bob" it is said, sort of neutrally buoyant)

Included memory card is larger in the 76 .. but they will both take the
same size if you want to use a larger card.

76 looks and is physically larger. Screens are the same size.

76 has buttons above the screen, 60 below .. some prefer one, some the
other.

76 looks like it has a patch antenna, but actually has same antenna type
as the 60.

That's my take, at least. I went with the 60Cx because I had a 60C and
cases for it .. and my altimeter and compass are in my wristwatch ;)

Phil about summed it up. In my case I chose a 76csx because I had a
76cs and was comfortable with the button layout. Additionally, I
already had the mounts for use on my bicycle and in the car. Also,
where I have the device mounted in the car, the buttons on top layout
works out better.

Had I not already owned a 76cs, I'd probably have chosen the 60csx
because its a tad bit smaller. I liked the sensor model because of the
elevation readings. However, with the x models, use of the elevation
feature has been problematical.

With the 60 you'll probably want to buy a larger memory card, but with
the 76, 128 mb is about adequate. Though, I have to admit that I did go
for the 1 gb card even though its probably more than I'll ever need.

Nothing.

It's only a user preference to the form factor and the memory size.
