What topo software to buy?

| I have the GPSMAP 60csx and I have purchased the National Parks East 24K
series. I don't like the features of the Mapsource software and want to be
able to download data from my Garmin into a more sophisticated topo program.
I travel a lot and don't think it is practical to buy all the National
Geographic Topo! state series! Is there a Top! USA version? I realize it
would probably be less resolution than 24K, but I am willing to make that
sacrifice so that I can have just one product.
thanks,
brian

You might want to look at Delorme's Topo software. Personally, I think
that the user interface is horrible, but you may like it; some people
do.

Check out Ozi Explorer, with that you can download any or all the free
USGS topo maps and use them. You can overlay your data on the raster
images and have your own personalized topo maps.
Play with it in the trial version and you should be able to tell if it
will work for you.
