Author Metroguide and the 60cx

I am thinking for trading my Emap for a 60cx. I have the Topo and
MetroGuide, North AmericaV6. Both work fine on the Emap.

Garmin recommend Topo on the 60cx. Does anyone know about the Metroguide?
The Garmin website does not recommend it, but I suspect that's because
Metroguide does not do automatic routing. I also suspect that they want to
push you to a registered product.. The Metroguide Canada is recommended by
Garmin. Has anybody tried loading Metroguide NA?? I don't really want to
use automatic routes an I don't want to spend another $100+ on software.

Thanks in advance.

metroguide europe works just fine on the 76csx.
you will run into the 2000 map segment limit.
the automatic routes are nice but not mandatory.
