Does he live in Pennsylvania or Ireland?
Perhaps he meant Eire, PA?

Erie would be about 30 miles north of my home town,
Meadville. Eire? No clue. ;-)

As to the original question, I know of no way to set a
default town/state.

I thought you could set up your own "home" location, so that wherever you
are, and are too drunk to find your way back otherwise, you just push
"home," and it'll direct you. ?

Scroll down halfway to item 8.

Could be. I don't have a Nuvi so I don't know about them. I
just have a "Home" waypoint on my 76CSx so it's pretty easy.

Find->waypoints->home-follow road

Ok I don't live in Erie, But Pennsylvania dose come up as the default
state.
when I search for a local address. The next step is town.

I have my home set in section 8

And, No I can't type.

I travel mostly in my home town.
When you enter an address you hit ADDRESS then your stste comes up.
Then you must enter the town your looking for the address in.

Here where I like to have my town set as a defalt.
I'll ask the manufactuer.

I understood the original question and have not found a way to do what
you ask. I would like to change some other things as well.

If you find a way to do this pleae post it here.

Thanks... Bob
