Puzzled newbie: GPS can't unlock map

Hi all,

I've done a search on this forum and on Garmin's support site. No
luck; so if this is an obvious matter apologies - I'm new to the GPS
game and not sure if I have the terms right. Any help appreciated.

I installed City Navigator 7 (Australia) on the puter and unlocked
it. Came up fine in Mapsource. Then downloaded chunks to the GPSMap
60CS. All good. Then when I restarted the GPS an error msg flashed
up 'Can't unlock map'.

So two questions:

What have I failed to do?

How can I delete some of what I've downloaded? It's taking more of
the internal memory than is desirable. I've trawled through the menus
and can't find any option to clear a map.
