| Santa is bringing me a Nuvi 650. Around here we have lots of streets that
go from 2 lanes down to 1. How does Garmin handle this? I guess it can't
tell what lane you're in. Would be cool if you heard something like..."move
over, lane ending 100 yards"

| It's not lane specific but the map does often assign a different priority to
streets based on the number of lanes. This means that sometimes a "red"
road will turn into a "black" road, or sometimes the lesser segment may not
be displayed at certain zoom levels, only to reappear when zooming in.

Garmin does not handle it. You actually have to look out the window to see
where you are going.

It wouldn't have to know which lane you are in to warn you that there
are lanes merging ahead, would it?
