Thanks.

Depending on the layout of the existing csv files, and whether you have any
tools that could rearrange the layout, GPSBabel or G7toWin might be a good
way to convert the file to a .gpx, which can be read by Mapsource.
Both tools can create gdb files, but I like GPX for interchange.

Thanks for the input. G7toWin did not do anything for me. I did get
GPSBalbe to convert 1 of the files and it looked fine in mapsource.
It would not work on the other files. I downloaded all the CSV files
from POI factory. I wonder what is different in the files. They all
load into the GPS just fine.
Maybe I am just too slow to see what I am doing wrong.
Any other ideas?
Thanks again

What does POI factory say about the format?
Actually, the instructions are kind of weak on poi-factory.
I made files to match the sample three and four column csv files.
I also downloaded Airport_V.csv. Those all loaded into MapSource after
gpsbabel -i garmin_poi -f Airport_V.csv -o gpx -F Airport_V.gpx

GeePeeEx will input csv and output gpx. That might do it for you.

| You can use GPXtoPOI to convert files to gpx files or vice versa. The gpx
file can be loaded into Mapsource.
The conversion program is free.

Didn't gpsbabel work?
I know you got it to work for only one of the files.
But I followed up with a specific command
gpsbabel -i garmin_poi -f Airport_V.csv -o gpx -F Airport_V.gpx
which worked on several of them for me.

I was not on the computer for a few days and did not see your message
until I also say the one from Ray. I tried his as it looked easier
than a command line input. It worked so I did not need to try your
way Clarence.
Thanks to everybody for their input.

| Since your problem is solved, I adding this just for general information:
there is now a GUI for gpsbabel, so you don't need to remember and type
command lines. I can't remember where I got the GUI or I would post the
URL.
