Nuvi 760: Create Favorite - doesn't prompt for name

| I have a Nuvi 760 and when I want to create a favorite for my current
location, I touch the map screen. I get a SAVE or GO option. When I
hit save, 9 times out of 10, it saves the favorite automatically using
same obscure name. I've had it prompt me 1 time to enter the name of
the favorite. The majority of the time I've got to go back through
the menu system to find the obscurely named favorite and then rename
it. This can't possibly be by design, can it? What is the criteria
that the Nuvi uses to determine whether it will name the favorite
automatically, or whether it will prompt for a file name? It seems
like it should prompt every time.

| I think I might call garmin on this one.
I have a c340 and it prompts me for a name to save it under.
