| I have a new laptop and an old nuvi 350 and an old desktop.
MapSource and NA NT V8 are installed and unlocked, whatever that means,
on my desktop.
Can I install NA NT V8 again on the laptop and have it function with the
nuvi? Any caveats or cautions?

None whatsoever in my experience. Copy the unlock code from the desktop
PC and use it on the install on the laptop. I have my locked Garmin
mapping in both places.
The easy way to do it is to choose Unlock Maps from the Utilities menu
to start the Unlock Wizard, then choose to View your installed unlock
codes. From there you can look at the properties for your unlock
code(s) and see the unlock code listed there. You can type the unlock
code into a text file to save it (it can't be copied with a click and
drag unfortunately) and take the file to the other install and paste it
in using the unlock wizard.

Thanks, Jack. It worked out just fine. I actually let it copy the unlock
from the nuvi.
Now if I could just get ExpertGPS to recognize the nuvi again. Sigh...
