I received a Garmin 680 and am looking for a source of road maps for Costa
Rica. I am having difficulty locating a source and am wondering if anyone
can point me in the right direction.

Thanks

Follow this link http://www8.garmin.com/cartography/mpc/#Costa%20Rica the
information that you want. These are not made by Garmin but are made by
others to work on Garmin products. Let me know how this works.

A friend is going to try the Caribbean Map Project next month. It covers
Central America and is found at http://rwsmaps.griffel.se/
I'll let you know how it works out for him.

Try http://mapcenter.cgpsmapper.com/. For Costa Rica you won't be able
to load maps via Mapsource and they don't autoroute.

Download the img files from the cgpsmapper site, then the easiest way
to load the maps onto your GPS is via Img2GPS (http://
homepage.ntlworld.com/mdipol/img2gps/). Instead of directly
downloading the maps to the GPS, I'd create a file, then copy the
resultant file to the SD card.

Good luck,
Bob
