Hi,

I am having issues updating the maps on two separte C330 units. I
realize the space issues with the 330, so i have selected a custom
map, including all of western Canada plus the US Midwest all the way
to the West Coast.

When i select Transfer-Send to Device, I select the connect 330 GPS
and hit ok. I immediately get a popup message indicating "The
required memory for storing maps is missing from your GPS". I do not
have an SD card inserted, and am wanting to update/replace the City
Navigator V8 maps that are currently loaded on my GPS.

Anyone seen this before? any help?

I guess if all else fails, i get an SD card and put everything on the
card and say screw the v8 maps...but that is a last resort hopefully

Thanks

Mike

I could be wrong, but you cannot select the maps as you are doing. You
can either put the US or Canada in the units storage. To load any
custom maps like you want to do, you will have to use a SD card to
load the rest of the maps, after loading the US or Canada.

I must be doing something wrong, because all I am able to do is
manually select each state/provice to add. I am not even prompted to
put all of Canada or all of lower 48 states in.

Don't use the Mapinstaller. Just run the CD and follow the
instructions. The Mapinstaller is for adding maps to the memory, if
available, (none on the 330), after updating the base maps.

Thanks Frank.
