MapSource update problem

| I have been using MapSource 6.11.6 and City Select NA v6. (6.11.6 was
updated from earlier updates.)
When I tried to install beta 6.12.02 the unzip bar runs but then nothing
else happens. I tried several times but get the same result. I uninstalled
MapSource and CSNA and then reinstalled it. MapSource 6.1 opens fine. But
when I try to update to 6.11.6, it too, now only displays the unzip bar, and
then nothing more happens.
I'm stuck on MS 6.1.
I used the same downloaded MapSource 6.11.6 and beta 6.12.02 files on
another machine and it all works fine. I downloaded different install .exe
files but still cannot get an update of MapSource to go on the first
machine.
Any ideas?

Reinstall your zip program might help?
Make a new map on your desktop. Drag and drop with your right mouse button
hold down 6.11.6 into the new map.
Release the button and you see the option 'extract to' if the zip program is
properly installed.
Start the setup.exe from the new map

| Thanks for thoughts so far. My ZIP program is working correctly, but none
of the MapSource update.EXE's are recognized by it as zipped archives. I
have no way to extract the files to get to the setup.exe portion of it. I
wonder if there are some registry keys with permissions errors.

Mmm... strange.. Here WinZip wil do the job and WinRar also.
