Garmin GPS - Total ascent and max. elevation zero? 60CSx

Total ascent and max. elevation zero? 60CSx

I'm not getting zero for both total ascent and maximum elevation.

I tried resetting everything I could find to see if I had messed
something up. I used to get readings in these two fields. Typically I
reset the top five fields (Trip Data, Odometer, Max. Speed, Elevation
Data and Max Elevation) before starting a ride. The other trip data
(Moving Time, Stopped, Moving Average, Overall Average, and Trip Odom)
seem to work as expected.

Have I screwed something up or is it time to send for repairs.
