60CSX SD card upgrade
|
|
|
| just bought a 2Gb card. can I just put it into the 60csx and remove the old
card event though the old card has some UK roadmapping I copied on to it
from metroguide europe? Or will the poor 60csx get confused that the maps
are no longer there?
TIA

It will notice the maps are gone, you just won't have the choice of
using them any more.
If you copy the maps from the old card to your PC and then copy them
back to the new card, you can use them with the new card. Copy the
\garmin folder and its contents to the hard drive and then back to the
new card. The \garmin folder will probably only contain one file named
gmapsupp.img, that is the file with your supplemental maps.

Sure. Of course, the device won't have access to the roadmapping any
more. But it won't realise.

No, the device doesn't care. Every time it's booted it just works with
what it sees.
