Revised USB Driver v2.2.1.0

| Garmin has posted revised USB driver v 2.2.1.0 as of March 26, 2007 here
http://www.garmin.com/support/downl...ils.jsp?id=591. I have installed
and Mapsource shows it to be in use. I had some difficulty getting it to
load over earlier version. Let me know if you would like info on my method
of installation.

Revised version did not work for me either. Please tell us how you got
it to install Dick.

I got similar response so this is what I did
With GPSr connected to USB running on earlier version I opened Device
Manager and used it to delete Garmin USB driver. I also renamed the
USB_Drivers folder (for me in C:\Garmin) just in case bur later deleted it.
Then disconnected GPSr. Ran the USB driver software and switched on GPSr
when instructed. When Windows asked about finding drivers automatically I
selected the option to tell it where to go which was the newly created
USB_Drivers folder and also I386 which is inside USB_Drivers. Sorry working
from memory. If method needs expanding I will re-run on my PC and note all
details. Let me know if this helps.

Dick this is what I just did to install 2.2.1.0. Just went to garmin
folder and renamed usb drivers folder to 2 on the end of it so it read
usb drivers 2. Then ran the new 2.2.1.0 file after double clicking on
it and it created a new usb drivers folder in garmin. After
instructions said to turn on gps unit and connect to pc the new
install hardware wizard came up and installed using recommended method
and it found new driver right away. Then clicked done on wizard and
now have 2.2.1.0 installed. Did not have to use device manager at all.
Hope this helps others. After all done I deleted the usb drivers
folder that had the 2 after it.
