| When using the webupdater program I can not update as the winXP pc
fails to recognize the nuvi gps. Cable is in the USB port and the
computer picture appears on the screen. Any solution ?

| In addition to maybe updating your drivers, it is suggested in many forums
that you download the update, which is an .exe file and install from that.
It's much safer installing that than the webupdater, some Garmin tech.
support people will tell you not to use the webupdater. "Sometimes," it not
reliable. Just plug your 660 into the USB, and when you see the computer
picture on the screen, click on the exe. file you downloaded. After it
downloads, DO NOT touch anything, it takes a couple of minuets or so to do
it's thing. You'll think it's not working, but it is.
