New Version Mapsource question "Join tracks"
|
|
|
| Hi all,
Been going through the new options in Mapsource 6.12.2
Found this listed on the garmin info site:-"Added the ability to join tracks
from the Tracks page"
Can anyone explain what they mean? We have had the join tracks TOOL for some
time - danged if I can find the above though. I assume Track page = track
tab OR track properties page
If you know what they mean can you spell it out for me?
Thanks
Tim

| Uploaded, recorded, tracks appear under the Tracks tab on the left...
Select the ones you want, right click & select Join... You'll then
have one long track log.
Useful since (at least my) garmin device stops and starts tracks when
it looses lock...

Huh? Interesting - I have that option greyed out - tried multiple different
ways - can still do it with the tool of course - just not the tab?

| It wasn't terribly difficult to join tracks before-just copy and paste
the points from one to the other.
What would be good (and I haven't downloaded the new version yet to
try it) is if joining tracks using the join option retains the full
tracback functionality.
The old way, above, removed the ability of the unit to point an on-
screen arrow to the next track point. Garmin never could tell me why
this is so.
