What's inside Nuvi's unit software?

| Hi.
Does anybody know something about binary format of Garmin Nuvi's unit
software? I'm localizing it for Ukraine so I need to know how to change
keyboard layout properly. Is there a way to get this?

Garmin do not release any information about hardware or software.

certainly don't know enough to mess with the text files.

You /might/ be able to work out how to do all the work yourself, but if
you're the sort of person who had to ask about the binary format here, you
probably don't know how to do the work yourself. Don't forget you're not
only going to have to work out the file formats and do the translation,
you're going to have to keep doing new translations and making new files
Contact Garmin. Offer to do all the translation work for them if they add
the language to their language set. They may take you up on the offer.

| I've done all the work by analogy with another localizations. But I can not
find out how to calculate valid CRC inside the file gupdate.gcd.

2 years passed but my colleague from Belorussia couldn't contact
programmers' chief in Garmin... They are really friendly guys :-)
