Garmin eTrex Legend....Lat/Lon

| I use my GPS unit for Geocashing and was wonder. Am I the only one
that wishes you could have side by side fields with one having the Lat/
Lon of your destination and one showing your current location. The
purpose being, that you can watch as you approach your destination
with out have to flip back and forth between screens. I know it
sounds silly but it would make things easier.

Can't you set two data fields to display the range and bearing (or
heading?) to the geocache?
That would be the most accurate and stable indication of being on the
right track, much better than trying to control it by watching the
location marker.
As long as the heading stays the same and the distance is decreasing you
are headed in the right direction.

Yes, that does work but to be able to find the exact location(Lat/
Lon) once you get to the destination would make the finding of the
prize that much easier. Just an observation and a
thought...................... The hunt is still the fun.
Thanks.

Nejez:
Range and bearing should lead you right to the spot give or take about 7
m/20 ft/6-7 paces.

Yes, I like seeing both my current location and the destination
and I see them both at the same time on the map screen. I'm
amazed at how few people use the map screen.
Also there is no "exact" location. The coordinates posted
have some unknown error depending on how skilled the people
who hid the cache are, how much time and effort they put into
averaging, how good the sky view is, and how lucky they are.
