Unlocking CityNav for New (Different) GPS

| I just upgraded from an eTrex Vista Cx to the GPSMAP 60CSx. No problem
transfering my topo maps to the new unit, but CityNav is giving me a problem
about unlocking. I have contacted Garmin via e-mail, but sometimes you folks
are quicker.
I've tried my original 8 digit code where required, but it says the code has
been redeemed. I've also tried using the 25 digit key, but that is not
working either. Everything was registered with Garmin, so I'm confident the
issue will be resolved. I can't imagine I'm the only person to ever change
GPS units and want to use their old maps.

Go to your My Garmin account:
https://my.garmin.com/mygarmin/cust...arminHome.faces
You should be able to log in there and get a second unlock for the new
GPS. Each GPS receiver will have a different unlock code and you can
unlock two receivers.

That is when you got the first unlock for the Vista Cx

And that key only work with the Vista Cx

You're not, for sure. Good luck with that. If you can't get it to work
call 1 800 800 1020 tomorrow, I've never had to wait more than few
minutes and they're always helpful.

Thank you, Jack!
Kind of a "Doh!" moment, that I did not think of this. I followed the link
you posted, stepped through the process, supplied the information as
requested and received a new certificate. I plugged that number into the
Unlock Wizard and all is right with the world . . . well as far as my GPS
problems go.
I understand the need for a method to keep "unauthorized" distribution of
the program to a minimum, but it is a little frustrating not to have this a
Plug-n-Play type of operation. When all is said and done, though, the
process is rather painless.
Once again, thank you for pointing me on the way!
