| If you are planning on getting the XM antenna for use on the Garmin Zumo 550
motorcycle GPS, and plan on using the Cardo Scala Rider bluetooth helmet
mounted headset please note that you cannot get the XM audio over the
headset.
This is buried in the manual on page 49 in the appendix.

Based on whether or not I can get my StreetPilot 2730 fixed (and at
what cost, if any), I'm considering getting the 550 anyway for my '06
HD, Ultra-Classic. I already have the "GXM 30" Smart Antenna.. Does
the 550 use the same antenna, do you know ?
Also, I'm wondering if I have to call XM Support and tell them I have
a new radio or will it work automatically..

| Hi Mike,
The GXM30 is the XM receiver and it will work with the 550. If you intend to
use bluetooth to listen to the XM radio, it will not work. You muse use the
3.5 mm jack on the MC mount bracket to get XM audio. After a little digging
through some of the messages on this site, it seems most do not understand
why Garmin did not route the XM audio to the BT interface.
