Author Billing data from Mapsource?

I am trying to extract how many times I've been to a particular place
(waypoint) with date time so I can on bill this automatically. I can't
seem to find an automated way. I end up eyeballing the tracks and
noting the data.

Due to the various environmental conditions, the Garmin Quest doesn't
always capture the location below 100 feet radius from the waypoint.

Any suggestion on how to export this data?

The Quest has a 10,000 point tracklog capability. Have you tried
downloading the tracks from MapSource? Some Garmin models include the
date and time in the data for each trackpoint.

Right click on a downloaded track in MapSource and look at the
properties to see what details are there.

As far as the locational accuracy for a given visit to a given location,
it would probably be accurate enough to let you spot each visit unless
the locations were very close together and visits frequent.

Another way would be to use the 500 waypoint capacity and to record a
waypoint at each location and each visit. You can add a comment to a
waypoint and the names could be used logically (a date time group for
example) to add info about the visits.

Thanks for that.

I do currently download the tracks and eyeball the data and then
transcribe by hand. What I would really like is a strategy for
capturing the start and stop times within a certain radius of a
waypoint. I guess a spreadsheet of some sort would do it, but seems a
bit of an undertaking. Seems like something someone may have done
before, though.
