Author NUVI Routing?

I have been using a Garmin V. I found it does not have the capability of
using a route uploaded from Mapsource as it wants to start from the first
point all of the time. I cannot edit it on the V. I cannot enter a
multipoint route on the V. Is there route capability on the NUVI?

The Nuvi is what it is. Routes chosen by it are somewhat dynamic,
calculated on the fly. The only way to influence them is to change
preferences such as avoiding interstate highways, and to ask for a
detour if you don't like the current direction.

My Nuvi 350 allows one intermediate stop along the way to a final
destination. I suppose you could enter another after reaching the
first, but it isn't exactly good for someone who is doing a job that
follows a specific route. On the other hand, such a person most likely
already knows the route!

What if the road was blocked or traffic was jammed along your route?
The Nuvi might be handy for finding a way around it, if each of your
route points was pre-set as a favorite location.
