76CSx -- Deleting Waypoints
|

| Basic question -- I'm still learning this new receiver:
As a test, I mistakenly downloaded a couple hundred waypoints into the 76,
but now the only way I can find to delete them, (including instructions
from the manual, p.12), is to do so individually, one-by-one. Surely I am
missing something. Can someone please tell me how to do this?
Thank you very much,
David

Thank you, Dick. I can see that I've got a lot to learn. I'm surprised
though that I couldn't find this in the manual. I guess there is just too
much stuff to get it all into the manual...

David

I don't know if it's the case with this particular function, but
Garmin adds new functions from time to time with the firmware
updates. Sometimes, even reading the list of changes won't tell
you how to use (or even find) the new features.

Also, as I read here it is the same as the 60csx you can go to Trip
computer, press enter, then Menu-Reset, select (a tick) the options you
wish to reset then Apply. I use this function frequently when starting a
new walk.

Re my posting above, another way would be to use Mapsource and upload all
waypoint to it then to edit on the PC which might be easier. Then delete all
waypoints on GPSr before downloading the edited set from Mapsource to GPSr.
